Coaching sessions are structured conversations focused on helping you explore your thoughts, gain clarity and move forward.
During a session, we may explore what is currently challenging, identify what matters most to you, and consider different perspectives or possible next steps. Coaching is collaborative and reflective, with the focus on supporting you to find your own insights and solutions.

-
Yes.
Sessions are confidential, with exceptions only where there are safeguarding concerns or risk of harm.
Clear boundaries are discussed at the start.
-
That’s completely normal.
Many people feel unsure before their first session. The discovery call is simply a chance to talk things through and see whether the support feels right for you, there is no pressure to commit.
-
This is a very common concern — especially for young people who may already feel overwhelmed, anxious or cautious about new adults.
Engagement is never forced.
I work gently and at your child’s pace, focusing first on building trust and safety. Often, reluctance is a sign that a young person has felt misunderstood or pressured in the past.
If a young person is not ready to engage immediately, we explore what might help, whether that’s adjusting session structure, starting with shorter sessions, incorporating interests, or spending time building rapport.
If mentoring does not feel like the right fit at this stage, we will discuss this honestly and consider alternative approaches.
The goal is always to support, not to add pressure.
